The Security Council’s presidential statements and sanctions resolutions play an important role in international policy and the way the world deals with Iran’s nuclear program. These statements, usually issued in the form of periodic declarations, reflect the Security Council’s provisional and shadowy positions on Iran’s nuclear situation and play a strategic role in shaping international consensus on non-proliferation issues. Sanctions resolutions, which are often adopted as a result of reports by international organizations such as the International Atomic Energy Agency, are powerful instruments in the policy of pressure and punishment, aimed at forcing Iran to comply with its obligations under the Non-Proliferation Treaty and international agreements. This study attempts to examine the changes in Iranian policies and the status of its nuclear program in shaping diplomatic and security trends in the international arena, taking into account the position of presidential statements and sanctions resolutions in the legal and political system of the Security Council.
